And how does a law abiding citizen, owning a gun, pose more threat than a criminal armed with an illegal gun? A criminal, by the very definition, will be armed, no matter if it is legal or illegal. And confiscating all the legal owners' guns will not deprive a criminal of their guns. If someone wants something, 99 times out of 100, they will find someone who will provide it. I routinely work in areas that are dangerous, and full of very ugly people. Crack dealers, drunks, winos, prostitutes, and sundry criminals. And usually it is in the middle of the night when I am there. I also carry large sums of cash on a regular basis, either to buy parts and equipment or received for services while working. I tote a gun, and usually have my toolpouch, where I keep a duct knife with a 10" double sided blade within reach. I have had to pull the duct knife twice, but thankfully never the gun. But peacenik pussies like you would rather see folks like me robbed and/or killed, rather than some scumbag criminal shot. Fuck you.

Guns are not the problem. People are the problem. If the fellow did not have a gun, he could have used a stolen cement mixer or truck to run over the politician. I prefer, since in the US at least, to have a gun to defend me and mine, since the police have no responsibility nor obligation to do so. And since if I don't have a gun, because they are outlawed, you can damn sure bet the criminals will have them, leaving all law abiding citizens defenseless.

Eh, I worked for the same company three times (never fired, quit over pay each time), refused to be in the installation or service departments (the owner of the company told me what to do, no one else), laid out often, told the boss "fuck you" several times, walked off of job sites, refused to do certain jobs and told a helper I'd kill him. I refused to wear the company uniforms, I would not carry the pager if I did not want to, and I refused to call in for POs or to justify any part, piece or tool I decided I needed on my service van. If I needed it, I bought it using the company account or CC. Not to mention wrecking a truck and running into the shop (two separate incidents). Thing was I was a valuable employee because I could fix any piece of HVAC/R equipment, estimate jobs in half the time of our estimator, sell upgrades and new jobs, interact with most customers very well, and would run twice as many service calls with the same percentage of call backs as our "best" service tech, and would consistently bill out well over 300k a year. Some folks are actually worth having, no matter how PITA they are. And that, 9 times out of ten, is based on the money.

You must not play WoW then. With the "new world" the 1000's of quests are gone, and now it is more like a console game where you got to go through every frickin quest in a linear fashion. PvP sucks except for the XP-off 19s and 29s, and unless you are a tank or a healer, expect minimum 40 minute+ wait times for a random dungeon to pop. Someone needs to come out with a fantasy MMORPG that does PvE, PvP, solo play and crafting pretty well. Note not great, not excellent, but pretty well. How frickin hard is it to do that? How difficult is it to get away from the stat inflation and gear-dependency? Is programing in and balancing skills and talents that difficult? Look at D&D (P&P version). They have almost 30 years of experience balancing PvE and PvP. Steal their talents, skills and abilities, file the serial numbers off them, reskin and rename them and there you go.

Take a few 4mg xanax, drink a couple of shots, fix yourself a big tall glass of your favorite alcoholic beverage, and get the stuff you want to listen to or look at in your last moments out and handy. Sit in your favorite spot with these things, and shoot up four or five 4mg dilaudids, and there you go. You'll float off this mortal coil in a relaxed, euphoric trip. No pain, no sickness, nothing but a warm glow as you fade away. And you can have an open casket at your funeral too.
