I'm using OSX Jaguar on my iBook at home and work, together with a PC "Linux only". I'm so satisfied that my office Win2k laptop is almost unused. Personally I think MacOS X is what I've dreamed since Apple acquired NeXT, I mean UNIX + Apple interface , probably the best cocktail. I'd like a world with more Mac clients and Linux servers. (JTS I use Linux since 1996 and Mac since 1990).
Under 10.1 I used sharity for sharing files betweek my iBook and office Win machines. Now with 10.2 I continue to use Sharity for file sharing and I can print to a Win Samba printer with CUPS (just ready in Jaguar). See web site "Mac OS X hints" for almost all you need to know. All the best
Sorry but I'm not so happy seeing so many Linux companies going down, are you ?
When you think to work world it does matter also to be able to work with Linux , not only to write good software.
IMHO, I think is interesting that few days ago I was reading about Corel CEO saying his error expecting about 10 or 15 times more $$ selling Corel Linux; and now I read about this kind of M$ "partecipation" in Corel.
So now we have just another move of M$.
I think Gates is laughing first because of all those "financial" operations (Apple and Corel are just two examples) and then because of all those
divisions and "fights" in Linux world. I like to choose but I dislike mess: please stop Gnome against KDE, Sawfish against Enlightenment,
and so on.. And don't forget about 30 or more distributions (I found also an Abit Linux !). Remember "Divide et Impera". Just my 2 cents.
I hope to be wrong but I can easily imagine that with this kind of holy wars between Linux distributions (mine is better than your and so on...) all that we can get is not "world domination" but a great mess and some pleople laughing (Gates,Balmer and company). Personally, I use 4 partitions on my PC with RedHat, Debian, Mandrake and SuSE. No problems. I like to choose but not confusion. And IMHO all those divisions don't help at all Linux. Remember "divide et impera"...

I think that until we will continue with a kind of "fight club" Linux vs Mac there will be someone named Bill laughing more and more ...
