    The best way to make your vote more effective is to encourage other people to NOT vote. The fewer votes cast, the more your vote is worth.

    As a side note, US presidents have bombed a different country every two years, on average, since World War II. The only president who didn't have a bombing campaign was Carter. Note that he wasn't reelected.

    If you want more information on why Libertarians get cheezed off when you associate them with the radical right, check out the world's smallest political quiz. The questions are a somewhat libertarian-biased, but the diamond-shaped results graph gives you a more useful description than the old left-right dichotomy.

    Hey! I play ZAngband, so I still eat ancient multi-hued dragons for breakfast. Or was that just a capital 'D' that kept changing colors?

    Diablo (and all its graphical predecessors) took the mindless dungeon crawl out of the Alphabits era and into eyecandyland. Here's hoping the sequel is worth the wait and has more depth to the story.

    Research is frequently broken down into two categories: quantitative and qualitative. Quantitative research focuses on statistics and verifiable results. Qualitative research deals more with discussions, interviews, and exploring possibilities. Both schools of research have their uses. In this case, the purpose of the study was not to come up with hard facts about the percentages of males who play female characters. Rather, it was about exploring the issue, trolling for insight. As a quantitative study, this research has no value. Fortunately, that's not what it was about.
