But all of this is besides the point. Wouldn't you want to know something was going on? This isn't like a fire drill in middle school. This is pretty scary shit.
I am a person that believes you should live without fear, but getting nervous about something that looks on face value to be something terrible is not over reacting.
I have 3ghz Quad Core system with 4gb of RAM. I high doubt Google Updater is going to use so many resources that it will slow my system down.
If you don't like it, don't install it.
