better a slow driver than no driver.

On: Writing Drivers For Multiple Operating Systems?

Wouldn't this allow for additional Drivers where there weren't any before though, I mean, I'd rather have a slow driver for a Modem or Soundcard than not be able to use it in my Linux box.
