  1. Don't need no robot to want to be left alone. on Will the High-Tech Cities of the Future Be Utterly Lonely? (theweek.com) · · Score: 1

Please built as many robots as required so that other humans turned to them instead of me. Can't wait to be left alone. Peace at last...

  2. Basic, Pascal, Fortran and Lisp on Slashdot Asks: What Was Your First Programming Language? (stanforddaily.com) · · Score: 1

In their order of learning, the very first was Basic v2.0, used a good 4 to 5 years, then inside the same year I learned: Turbo Pascal, Fortran and Lisp. Then thankfully, I turned away from the dark side of the force and ditched programming all together to switch toward systems and networking ;-)

  3. Sinclair ZX81 on Ask Slashdot: What Was Your First Home Computer? · · Score: 1

My very first was a Sinclair ZX81, had the hardest time just to get it to display properly on my french TV set. No modem, no tape drive, nothing, just plain basic and a lot of fun !! Was not mine, just a loan from a friend who did not bite to the all personal computing thing. Switched to Oric Atmos 16 for a short time, then got my own personnal Comodore 64, 15'' COLOR display (man the price of that thing !!!) tape drive, and I hooked it up to an external 1200 baud modem... I think I never disconnected from the computer world since that moment ;-)

  4. Re:minority group on Advertising Company AppNexus Bans Breitbart News Over Hate Speech (betanews.com) · · Score: 1

My bad, I was looking worldwide population (where Asians and Blacks are the top 2) not just US. But indeed the debate around Breibart is US centered, so my remark was misplaced.

  5. I think we need a new definition for that term "minority group". Because it cannot be speaking of Black or Asian people (https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/fields/2075.html), so who is this minority the bad men are being vile about ?

  6. Feedom of Speech on Mark Zuckerberg Defends Peter Thiel's Trump Ties In Internal Memo (theverge.com) · · Score: 1

I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it . (And NO, it's not from Voltaire even thought it highlights his ideology) This is freedom of speech 101. You might desagree with them, but they have a right to express their ideas.
