IMHE ssh is far from teh silver bullet as is it quite unreliable. I have numerous sshd'z hang on me ... I just had a friend working from a major company call me and asking what could be done to access his box as the sshd was locked (2 months uptime ) ... they had disabled all other access (telnet and ftpd r*) so they couldn't even ftp something like a crontab to bounce the box ...

anyone have similar experiences with sshd?

What many fail to realize that we have a capitalism/oligarchy there is only one winner the rest are loses and chances you are one of them ... over the last year I have grown tired to good vs evil ... Gates/Ellison they are all greedy and nasty people (yeah nasty ... how can someone have billions and people are still striving)

The philosopies of the big guns

microsoft - take money from all
oracle - take money from the really rich and let the cost trickle down
sun/apple - a stupidity tax everyone for using your stuff

    snip
yeah stupidity tax ... apple's inclusion is a bit obvious ... but sun's inclusion is a bit subtule (they are good) cause take for example java; the key is code mobility which means that companies don't have to open source the bulk of their products ... because if you did the rest of the task of mobility would be code verification which is not difficult (there are a few acadmic projects with various implementations of code verification) and byte code is nothing new.

Greetings Yeah even though mp3z might land in jail it made a "better man out of me" and some brit has my money
I agree with the poster... I won't listen to Dre. any more and not because of his involvement with napster but because of my involvement with mp3z.
I used to listen to rap and I never agreed with the message it sent ... violence and misogynist ... not to dis rap but um but I don't refer to mygirlfriend as a gardening tool ... to each his or her own, but rap is not my cup of tea ... so searched for alternatives Ani DiFranco, RATM, Indgo Girls; great vibe but I wasn't to hot on that style of music.
I found the light; I now suck bandwith
I was browsing one day though shoutcast and live365 and discovered trip hop ... great beats and great music ... and it was much more positive IMHO than rap. As it is not marketed for the U.S. I couldn't go to my local record store in the middle of nowhere and find any good trip hop as it is mostly from Europe ... I started downloading mp3z figuring out what I liked and what I didn't like in trip hop (e.g. although tricky is big in trip hop he doesn't top my list) ... so 5 months later have currently own 10 trip hop albums which none of them have ever been on the U.S. top 40 and I have no regrets ... I am now a more informed customer, the RIAA had little control over how I like what I like and I don't have to listen to music which demeans women and promotes violence; as now I know there are many options out there. So no more dre and similar negative rap acts ... hello Lamb and Kruder & Dorfmeister

    transactional support
    support for large volumes
    cost-based optimizers
    complex data types

you can actually preview it on the web with the tutorial
