Sorry, the slow cycle rate on the Gimp icon eyeballs just freaked me out for a minute there... I kept catching it out of the corner of my eye. My voicemail light does the same thing occasionaly. I wonder if it has anything to do with staring at./ with a 70Hz refresh all day %-)
FF was the first thing to go after installing Office. Huge performance hit....scandisk restarting over and over....random HDD writes that brought everything else to a halt... Thanks but no thanks, I'll take care of my data myself.

I'm renaming every file to "Metallica1.mp3","Metallica2.mp3", etc. regardless of content.
