There is no Hockey Stick when you look at the chart from 1800 to present.
The only way you can see a hockey stick is to assume that the temps in the 40s-70s were "normal". But looking at the chart, they represent an abrupt decrease and 30 year plateau in the trend from 1800 to the 40s.
Just looking at the chart you can pretty much put a ruler to it and draw a straight line from 1800 to now. One long, consistent trend.
The "education" department educates no one. It is the definition of bureaucracy, existing for the sole purpose of inflicting reporting requirements on schools and doling out money according to the political winds.

What kind of Ion engine could you drive with a 500 megawatt reactor? What kind of magnetic fields could you generate with that much electricity? Would it be enough to shield the ship from radiation in the same manner that the Earth's field shields us?
That's not a solution, it's a goal. How do you propose to achieve this goal?
What have we heard from the Occupy crowd? 1. Close coal plants. 2. Close nuke plants. 3. No "fracking". 4. No drilling. 5. Just to be all inclusive...give me a job paying $40k a year even though I have no practical skills and BTW, pay off my $200,000 college debt.
