More seriously France has always considered US as an ally, however when it comes on the subject of national security there's always a tendancy to put the emphasis on the word NATIONAL.
I just wonder if it was the same by your side in the states...

I just wonder if the fact that OpenBSD is a 'Canada based' OS could have an incidence on the aceptance of this OS by US administration/politics.
I mean here in France the army was very suspicious about Windows 95/NT as it was a foreign OS (and of course as there were no sources available...)
I also wonder how it was configured for the crypto related stuff...:-)
With all this mess on the patents and allowed-only-outside-the-US-libs do they follow the law
or do they use (IMHO stronger) export libs ?
