I advocate that we all go back to our console-based roots and dump these fancy-schmancy pop-up windows and all that advertising B.S. that seems to attract every get-rick-quick marketing ho there is.

Why is it that so much pop culture is regenerative or derivative of stuff from the past? It seems like all we get now are remakes/retreads of old movies, TV shows, character types, plots, etc.

Is it just that the media moguls want to make money off of nostalgic baby boomers, or what?

I'm very bored with all this, is anyone else?

Where I work, at a large major telecommunications company (whose name rhymes with "lint"), they're supposedly supposed to give you compensation to the tune of $5,250/yr for tuition reimbursement (for work-related stuff) and two weeks per year of additional training.

Of course, lots of luck actually getting it. You ask your boss and he'll basically tell you that he needs a 20-page justification document that needs VP approval.

I'm glad someone has finally gotten the guts to come out and say it.

Its clear that since its purchase by andover.net, Slashdot's sole raison d'etre is to foist thinly-veiled capitalistic schemes upon the unsuspecting masses.

Of course, nobody will ever see this message, since the censors in the GOP will remove it before it is widely circulated.
