You're right - the best way to beat M$ at their own game is to set up a direct comparison. Identical hardware, identical configurations (or at least as similar as possible), Linux vs. NT, Mano a mano. Sorta reminds me of when Apple said that its OS X Server was "faster than Linux". Betcha they compared it to Linux on some sort of Pentium hardware.. what about LinuxPPC? Still faster? I'm not so sure, given hardware and configuration parity. Maybe that's something that people should look into for future trade shows, eh? (hint: Linux World in August) Set up one box running NT and one running Linux, and show them off side by side. I can't think of a single better way to prove just how much better Linux really is than that bloated beast Microsoft refers to as its "enterprise-class OS". Chris Tembreull
