Holy mullet. I'm quite euphoric that, as a relatively new land and having been settled at a time when the brittinsh government was making an effort to be sensitive, that New Zealand does simply not have religious issues on this scale.
Our greatest current issue is whether or not to revoke the anti-smacking bill. It is not legislation but common practise that teachers be sensitive to other theories besides evolution. Of course that doesn't stop some people being rednecks here either- they just don't get anywhere.
