I agree fully with all of your arguments, however I should point out that you may be surprised just how many people have heard of MP3s. Where I go to college, the dorms have ethernet (nice for d/ling MP3s) and because of it, just about every student with a computer uses MP3s. Even the kids who first got here and didn't know what the internet was have been introduced to MP3s. They're everywhere. And I imagine college students are a major market for CD sales...
Great idea.. send some flame mail to that address, then look out your window to see a mysterious black van parked out in front of your house indefinitely...
Well, (this is just speculation) I don't think they just used one Dual PII. I'm mainly making this guess based on the cost ($12,000). Perhaps the Dual PII is what one node is, and they have several of these nodes?
After upgrading my RH 5.2 system to 2.2.0, my mouse broke in Xfree86. I have a PS/2 Logitech wheel mouse. It was set to use the IntellimousePS/2 protocol, which caused it to jump around the screen when the mouse moved. Resetting the mouse mode to plain PS/2 fixed the problem, but of course now my wheel doesn't work. Any advice, anyone?

What if Microsoft figures out how to genetically-reengineer Tux?

Hehe... how long until Microsoft decides they've had enough of all the bad press they receive on /. and target it with one of those machines?
BTW, the dhcp package packed with 5.2 does not work, grab the one out of the RawHide directory...
