I moved to Canada last December of 1999.
Really really impressed with the health care in Winnipeg. I get in mentally challenged individuals very very fast to have a doctor look-see. Walking past the clerk on the way out and the checkout stand at the pharmacy, I still pinch myself. The cost reduction from paperwork is significant.
I had crap health insurance in the states all too often and you are always getting moved from one to another and having to figure who and what and who won't accept your plan, etc.
Health care is a right.
9% sales tax in Alabama on prescription drugs and food, everyting. I got stuck up once, a friends son carjacked and murdered, person broke into our group home and attempted to rape one of our assistants, etc. etc.
I am really enjoying my cable modem in Winnipeg MB and it is only $39.95 a month CDN. I hear it was the same price USD @home in Mobile, just coming out. I am so glad to be out of the states.

Yes it is!! I pay $40 CDN in Winnipeg for @home and see that it is $40 USD in Mobile Al when I visited friends and worried about getting a gun stuck in my face again.
Less Guns and cheaper broadband. I am working on permanent residency in Canada.
And the easiest way to get into Canada is via L'arche on an A20 visa. Even easier than for programming.

Break?? Gnut and when I do doze gnutella and other clone is pathetic. Gnutella network used to be one hot way to find and get things. Smokingly fast relatively with cable modem and my uploads were flying out. The gnutella system for all intents and purposes is broke at present time.
way back I remember reading articles and being intrigued by the possiblity of phonon (sound waves) assisted electron tunneling "in vivo" in cytochrome enzymes. Is the initial part of carbon nonotube heat transfer phonon assisted?

I was perusing federal newsgroups about nuclear reactors several years ago, this was happening over two years ago.
