Look, just give me a packaging system based on XML meta data and an API. Nobody seems to even want to discuss a common Interface. If I have a common interface and plug-able installation managers, I can make installation really, really easy. And yes, I want it to be portable to non Unices. In the meantime, I'll fight with RPM and DEB.
