    So your brilliant logic is that since the criminal will have the upper hand as attacker we should just give up all means of defense?

    You're right, the attacker has an advantage, but the law-abiding gun owner has an decent chance against a criminal using physical force or primitive weapons, and a marginal chance against a gun-wielding criminal. In a post-ban world, the law-abiding naked citizen has no chance under any circumstances, and the life of the criminal couldn't be easier.

    The suicide rate in the US is pretty moderate, so I doubt banning guns would provide that big of a reduction. Yes, they would find another way, because almost all of them are in fact better off dead.

    Countries that ban guns usually do go on to ban them. And they are just as hysterical about knives, proposing ever stricter laws for knife possession, instituting random pat-downs on the street for knives, etc.

    Dynamite, opium, machine guns, etc. all used to be freely available for purchase, and the nation was never greater. Animal fear, weakness, and stupidity prevailed. Take a good look at the countries that ban weapons: they may look orderly, but they've actually sunk to the lowest form of human degeneration.

    Really? That's the type of person who, even if he is even capable of doing the job correctly, will fill out the paperwork without doing the work or who will accept a bribe. And we know bureaucracies themselves are incompetent, and might be operating by verification standards only effectual for analogue meters. And we know that bureaucracies are arbitrary, meddlesome, and corrupt. A mandate that gasoline be debased with ethanol is the valuable service you get from paying extra taxes?

    What is the premise again, that you search for "large intestine" and pics of some poor girl being prolapsed by a donkey cock come up, or are you searching for "testicles," innocently expecting some wholesome images of a corpse's dissected genitals...and you show them testicles in action . Because any kind of sexual anatomy lesson with your kid's friends is going to be perilous even if you are using stick figures.

    It is censorship, since you will get mostly irreverent results if you search for a porn actress by name for example. Apparently there are magic words to relax the censorship: "breast" actually reduces accuracy to 0%, while "tit" will produce more normal looking results, but it's unclear if these results are accurate or ones that particularly feature tits.

    Going to have to stop using Image Search just like I stopped using Google Shopping, and really I wonder why I should bother going to google.com at all at this point...

    Which is a violation of rights, unless the weapons belong to you. Depriving ex-cons of Constitutional rights is a backdoor life sentence, an excessive punishment (unless it's a condition of parole from being imprisoned for an actual life sentence)
