Ah, this reminds me of my first hardware tech job. I used to get lots of dead PC XT and AT motherboards and hard disks, and take them out to the rifle range on weekends.. A nice way(well, violent..) to blow off a little stress after a hard week of troubleshooting. Fun to see RAM chips fly when I hit them with the.30/30 Those old Seagate hard disks were pretty good targets too (the old 20 and 30MB ones, ST220's etc, that used to fail heaps..) Always fun to put a few holes in them.. Ex gun-toting maniac techie..
I use a Japanese OS now and then, and while I can speak Japanese ok, typing emails in Japanese is a pain in the butt..Japanese speech recognition would be cool, since typing Japanese (even with a Japanese keyboard) is HARD..
