I don't see the internet being shut down, but I wouldn't be surprised at declining internet freedom in direct proportion to the success of "operation payback".

I don't call it due process when your property is seized by way of court order resulting from a hearing in which you weren't allowed to give your side of the story.
The owner of Torrent Finder found out about the action after the site was seized. (even though the site hosts no torrents and returns search results through embedded iframes) So the site is gone until he can convince the government to give it back.
Yeah, that's my America. Give the government the power to punish without so much as a public hearing. After all there's no chance THAT power will be abused.

I think people who believe this level of stupidity deserve to be disconnected from the Internet. They are fucking damage, and I'm getting tired of routing around them.

I work 25% in Virginia, 75% in Maryland, and I live in Maryland. The way my CPA explained it:
My Va state income tax is calculated as if I made all my money there. Then, I only pay Virginia 25% of that. Then, my Md tax is calculated as if I made all my money there, and I pay that tax, minus what I've paid to Virginia. So in my situation, I pay no more than if I was taxed for it all in MD. Course, I really do go into Virginia to work, so it's hard to begrudge them the bucks. Also, it'd be harder to take if I lived in a no income tax state.
Wait a minute. Listening to other people work is now considered a hardship? I'd say look out your window if you're looking for a worse work environment. That guy making the noise will probably be glad to trade places.

I use thermal labels to address my business mail and I've had several returned with "Address Unreadable". The label turns jet black after irradiation.
It was lucky that I didn't use a thermal label for the return address as well or I never would have known that this was happening.
