I agree it'll change politics.. Already has..I personally can't count how many political conversations I've had online. Also, politics isn't just the presidential election, like jon katz made it sound.. you're never going to find a president who has the exact same beliefs as yours, so you have to do some pushing to do what you believe needs to be done.
Any online interviews that worked well? nah. But your point is that it's so tightly regulated that they can choose what questions they want to answer.. the ones that'll make them look good.. And other such manipulations.. correct?
How is that any different from real life?
It will potentially explain the "Missing mass" problem. Neutrinos are non-luminous, and could therefor make up for a large percentage of dark matter in the universe. Although this isn't a huge mystery in our own galaxy, because most of the mass in it is luminous, so may not affect us directly, in the Coma and Virgo clusters, for example, things don't add up (the velocities in any given system indicate the mass within it. In these two cases, the velocity was much to high to indicate the amount of visable mass within it).
Also, evidence of rotation curves suggests more mass in certain. The velocity of anything orbiting it's center depends on it's total mass, and the distance from the center. The curves scientists (namely Rubin, and Freeman, among others) discovered didn't match with the mass they could see. (see Kepler's Law)
It's a common theory that neutrinos make up much of this Dark Matter. And why that's important, is because the idea is fairly recent, and to find that many ideas about astrophysics may have, in fact, been wrong all this time (since we cant see everything, or in some cases anywhere near most of everything in a system). So.. any conclusions based on systems which are composed of a large % of dark matter are incorrect. It may cause us to rethink nearly everything we know about astro physics.

I dont know their names, but I think it was about 2 years ago. Anyway, just thought that was amusing/interesting, and is a pretty good example of why I hate America. Not that I needed any more.

Anyone ever read Idouru, by William Gibson? What was the 'mud-like' world that whatshisname lived in? Something City. I have a horrible memory for that type of thing.. Excellent with other stuff.. Anyway. That was completly underground, completly geekish, and very possible. I'm warning all you you now, cause I know only geeks read/. : Keep it that way, if it ever becomes more than fiction! pleeeeeease. People spoil everything.
worries that AI (in the form of self replicating robots with some AI agenda) can possibly overcome us if we are not careful.
One could only be so lucky. Extinction of the human race-- I think it would be great. I think it would be beautiful. Beautiful as a mother gives birth to her child, raises it, but years after passes away. The child lives on, carrying out her virtues. Artificial is natural- a natural mechanism for survival. Chances are, AI will be able to survive much better in the future, than we will be. It will be for the better, IMHO.
If I remember right, the theory about dark matter involving WIMPs would also need neutrinos somewhere in the equation to comply with rotation curve evidence (i dont remember exactly what that evidence was.. anyone?)
Also, I read that the WIMP/neutrino idea would challenge a few things supposedly known about BBN (big bang nucleosynthesis). Again my memory fails me.. Does anyone know where the two ideas clashed?

Yeah, okay, I'm sounding like a mad scientist...
