Take for example the net censorship legislation that made us such a laughing stock (I've seen RMS comment source code as being a "pile of Australian legislation" as if he couldn't think of a worse insult). Then he goes and shows himself to be Kerry Packer's lickspittle over the HDTV/ data-casting issue.
