    Nobody expected yet another election where the losing candidate gets the most votes. And to add insult to injury Trump received the third worst vote margin in all of US history, yet he already acts like he has a mandate by making some very extreme announcements and decisions. Such as supporting Ryan's plan to phase out medicare.

    I don't know if I'd ever call a winning margin the "third worst" of anything.

    I think this exemplifies just well the states have been gerrymandered. Seriously, the majority of people vote for one person but the lose by a 3:50 ratio?

    California is lucky they're on the coast. They're lucky the Pacific Rim is on the other side. The Dems constantly mismanage their resources by CA is inherently a rich state.

    Your argument is that people that happen to live in the less populated parts of the USA should have a greater say over its policies than people who live in cities. Why should this be?

    The vote of each state.

    There are many reasons why a straight popular vote is bad and the electoral college is better but the best one I can think of is what happened in the recent election. Hillary Clinton won 300 counties while Trump won 5000. If you think that the election of a nation should be swayed by a handful of cities while the rest of the nation is completely ignored, well, you're an idiot.

    For months before the election, the MSM & Hillary supporters hammered about how Trump & his supporters wouldn't accept the results of the election.

    Now that Hillary has lost, her supports can't accept the results. Death threats to electors. Riots in the street. Offering the pay fines for electors who break the law. MSM story after story about how the circumvent the will of the people. Jill Stein taking donations to force a recount where even she says that there was no fraudulent or illegal activity.

    It seems life is not without a sense of irony.

    It's funny how these conversations always take place after the Democrat loses.

    In 2000, the conventional wisdom was that Bush would win the popular vote and Gore would win the electoral college so there was article after article by liberals in the summer of 2000 on why the electoral college would matter. Google it.

    The electoral college prevents politicians for completely ignoring 90% of the country and focusing only on the few really big cities. It also prevents voter fraud happening in one area affecting the entire election because it limits the damage done by voter fraud.

    The electoral college idea was genius and there is a reason why the country is not a democracy and why we don't elect presidents via popular vote.

    Meh. Cordless charging just means an extra buck on my utility bill every month from the efficiency losses.

    I'd gladly pay 3 cents a day for built in wireless charging. I had it with my windows phone and it is a wonderful feature.

    And screen resolution is already so high that it exceeds the average human eye's ability to see individual pixels, so raising it won't improve things noticeably.

    While the 5s has a "retina display", it certainly isn't 1080p or higher. I'm not asking for for more pixels just for more pixels.

    The biggest breakthrough Apple had with the iPhone was TouchID. Everything since has been a better camera and it runs faster. The problem is my 5s is plenty fast and the resolution is more than good enough.

    Once cordless charging gets to the iPhone and the resolution goes above 1080p, then that's a game changer. Once the screen goes to OLED, that's a game changer. Until then, my iPhone 5s is plenty fast with a great screen.

    You should. Apple chargers are incredibly over-engineered to protect against many problems. If you want to trust your expensive iphone & ipad to cheap chargers, you feel free.     Global warming deniers never can answer the following in any logical manner:
    Is CO2 not a greenhouse gas? Is man not releasing very large amounts of CO2? What negates the effect of CO2 in the atmosphere as a greenhouse gas?

    Yes, CO2 is a greenhouse gas. "Very large amounts" is relative. If I pour a quart of piss into your water cooler, that's a large amount. If I pour the same amount into a state reservoir, it's doesn't matter. We live in a closed system. The environment changes to deal with changes.

    Environmental doomsayers have been making these claims for decades. They have all been proven wrong.

    Global temps haven't increased in sixteen plus years.

    Manmade global warming is bullshit. At least they are getting smart enough to push the environmental disaster to 50 years away. There's less accountability that way.

    Don't get me wrong. Reducing pollution is a good thing. But to constantly declare that it's the end of mankind unless we do something RIGHT NOW is exploitation.

    Not kidding. When I was in specialized military training program we saw crazy looking dude with a unkempt uniform and absolutely no personal hygiene. We made a couple snide remarks amongst ourselves and later mentioned the guy to an instructor.

    He told us that the guy was from Saudi Arabia. He also told us that every foreigner in the school always passed. A few years back, he didn't specify how many, a Saudi officer took the course and failed. The government beheaded him and apologized to the school.

    So, good job Reddit. If he had a family, their probably gone as well.
