I understand what you mean. I have to use a boot disk for LiLo (sharing drive with Win2000) and it's slooooowww. If I were able to pick and choose kernel modules at startup via floppy...then I think I'd be ok. --
My company recently outsourced code for a seemingly small and somewhat simple project. The folks we worked with on it barely knew what they were coding. They literally lied to us about knowing enough to do it right.
We just fired them and now there's only two of us stuck rewriting a ton of the bad code. I had to clean up all the HTML and Javascript on every page. The PHP was half-finished, leaving us with a mess, and the MySql database is unorganized and nonsensical.
