What really got me about this one was the attitude some developers had... constantly trying to justify their correctness, despite the huge backlash from users. I feel the trust relationship is kinda broken... but at least they finally came around and listened.
I just love the way Americans stick up for their companies... when a foreign country lays a legit claim against them. And then of course, the next day when the same company is caught in dodgy dealings they are complete flame bait. What do you call this again? Oh yes... Fickle!
Some say that this is "playing god" others are saying it's changing "evolution". The thing is the majority of people will continue having babies the normal way... i.e. randam act = random child.
Having gone through the IVF process with my wife, it is an expensive and emotionally draining process. Not to mention the physical stress it places on a woman's body. The point is, for such a small percentage, I don't see it really impacting the future of our species that dramatically.
