Oh yes sorry, you're right. I live in Europe and am used toexcellent GSM coverage almost everywhere but in the US this is of course almost impossible to achieve.
But what always amazes me is how far Jobs and Gates (don't get me started about Ballmer) were apart in the way they looked at technology. Steve tried to use it to make the world a better place and Gates tried to use it to earn money. Seeing Gates go about his business now in fighting malaria and such I wonder sometimes if he really liked doing MS. He seems to be much happier now.
I don't entirely agree. Jobs hasn't invented much himself, true, but he was very good at combining other people's ideas and making something unique out of it.
Yes, especially since there is no news about him anymore since he died. Even when he was alive we already knew he was a righteous asshole with a vision for shiny and user-friendly things who had great success in transforming the music- and mobile phone industry. I didn't buy the book because I thought the juicy details would be public in no time, and I was right. I don't need to see any documentary or read any book about SJ ever again. Everything is out in the open already.
They also have a law that requires them to collect American war criminals from Den Haag, should they ever end up there. Which is even more moronic than not funding Unesco anymore because they don't act the way the US wants.
That video generates more questions in my brain than it answers. "ACTA is bad, nnkay?" it says, which is not enough. The extremely one-side view on ACTA the video provides sickens me. It doesn't even tell me who "The Negotiators" are. I can't say "No" to ACTA based on this video alone.
Legible as in readable for laymen? I hope not. But you know what's strange? I pay taxes so we can have universities in Holland. Those universities pay ridiculous amounts of money for all the Journals they have subscriptions to. But if I want to read any of the articles in those Journals I have to have an affiliation with the university, or I have to physically go there and download them there and then. And then I can only take them home on paper. How oldfashioned!
"The downside ? Three thousand fucking dollars. Mind you, that's the 17" with 8gb Ram and a Seagate hybrid drive so it's fully decked out, but even the entry-level MBP is what, 1200 or so ? It costs as much as two similar-spec PC laptops, assuming you have a strong tolerance for Asus or Dell cheapness.
You contradict yourself here. You get what you pay for with Apple, although I must say that that is only true at the beginning of a new Apple product's life cycle. Unlike other computers, Apples don't get cheaper with age, and even when a new model is out the shops tat sell Apple stuff try to sell you the old model for the old price.

Why would they want to take them off?
HAHAHA! How naive. They can track your phone, OR the SIM card. Their choice. Swapping SIM cards doesn't help you.
If you weren't a kid you wouldn't have said that.
Kids these days have far too much power. And shouldn't they be in school instead of ruining the lives of other people?

You almost convinced me to buy the book! Good work, thank you!

Wouldn't it take at least two weeks before you can call an issue "well-documented?" I think Apple was quite quick to acknowledge this one.
Tax money spent according to the big corporation's wishes.

That is exactly why I haven't sued them. The fact the I'm Dutch makes the case even more complicated and expensive, so I would never win.
Hey, I had that name long before the evil organization existed. I should sue them for copyright infringement :).
The camera is not much better, it is a bit less crappy.

And your point is...?
Indeed, that would help. Like the Kindle application on the PC.

It does require power, namely gravitational energy.

Did it hurt much?
It means 10000/h.
I WANT ONE! It's so cute, it looks like a four-year-old who just learned how to ride a bike!
Yeah right. Have you ever tried not paying to get your article published? Those charges are about as voluntary as paying for something in a shop.
