How will Lightsquared's potential GPS interference play into this? If the company is allowed to continue as promised by the FCC, won't all this be moot as the weaker GPS signals won't be reliably received by anyone anymore?
Also...the pictures I saw of the GPS device while attached to the spare-tire well of the car seemed to show a suspiciously clean nylon sleeve. I'd imagine any amount of travel on roads would result in the accumulation of dust/dirt that'd show up on the black nylon pretty well.
