  1. Perfect example.. on Recovery.gov To Get $18 Million Redesign · · Score: 1

..of where I DO NOT want my tax dollars going. Seriously, I don't care how innovative and sophisticated the site is going to be I just do not see how they can justify $18 million being spent to tell us where our money is being spent...maybe they are showing by example lol, see this shiny new 2.0 (isn't that term a little dated these days) version of our website! It does all kinds of cool things, you can even SEARCH and get GRAPHS of where the money went! lol. This is just another example, on a larger scale, of the whole $1000 hammer that can be bought at Home Depot for $1.89. Please....I will take a cool Million and save you $17 million to put in another politicians coffers. Hire me!

I remember the very very early days of the internet paying for HOURS online...boy that was fun! But then again it definitely wasn't today's internet!

I can't imagine a reason to have so many pages open at one time. I would have to imagine everything from the internet connection (depending) to the browser to your system would degrade with that much open. I can manage to get up to 20 tabs open but after they have been open for a day or 2 without me touching them they get bookmarked if they aren't already and closed until I need them again.

There is some GREAT advice buried in the depths of this thread. One near the very top ( GREAT ADVICE ) is particularly good.

You left no details as to what it is you normally end up doing instead of work but I have found a good way to concentrate on what actually needs to be done once you have a clear idea of what you are going to be working on (which is seems you can get this far) is to work on a computer that is NOT connected to the internet. I can't tell you how many times email, StumbleUpon, and various other net related activities have kept me from doing work even when motivated to do that work.

  5. Seriously?? on In Round 2, Jammie Thomas Jury Awards RIAA $1,920,000 · · Score: 2, Informative

How do you even find 12 average people who can justify in their little brains that nearly $2 million is reasonable for 24 freaking songs?? Not much surprises me anymore but come on! WTF???? Most likely just another case of selecting a jury with a bunch of people dead set from the start on making the defendant pay and pay as much as possible regardless of guilt or innocence. The verdict was probably in before the opening statement was made. The RIAA's dream jury
