I'm reading quite a few posts that advise "stepping away" from the computer in some way. Others that read something like "work on that 'other' project". Well, both are good, good advice, but - I've found that what works best for me is to play around with some completely arbitrary code. That is, I don't work on another "project", I just write some code to see what the code can do - I'm often amazed at how quickly this technique seems to galvanize my mind and put me in the mood to work on what I actually need to work on.
