Erm.. please pardon my extreme ignorance of chemistry, but don't you have to first electrolyze the hydrogen out of the water, using up energy? If I remember my 6th grade camp counselor's words correctly, combustion is essentially 2H2 and O2 turning back into 2H2O. If this produces more energy than it takes to break up H2O, I'd better start buying large chunks of the Atlantic Ocean.
I suppose if you have another reagent that makes the electrolysis really easy, but gets used up in the process it might make sense. Does there exist such a substance?
I'm sure the lawyers would love it if, in addition to being an automaton operating a large machine, it were also in control of deer-fragging equipment. (a.k.a. ye olde BFG)
