What this all comes down to is MONEY It is all about money. The reason artist go to record companies is to sell their songs. The artists need money to live, so they have to sell their songs. Record companies are greedy they want money and lots of it. Look at the profit that record companies made.
The consumers just want songs.
The only way the end this is to come up with a way to let the artist make a living off of their art. And this applies to writers, painters programers and the like. If there were no worries about the need for money the dreamers could dream, the singers could sing, the painters could paint, and so on.
Fusion reactors and replicaters are the only way we are going to get to the point that there is little or no need for money. Corporations will never go for this...
