Say what!!!??? Where did you hear that there had been a hiring freeze at BSDI?? That is bogus info - they have hired at least 3 people in the last year INCLUDING a CEO!! Where did you hear BSDI was struggling financially?? They are a profitable company and are NOT struggling And where did you hear that BSDI employees are going to lose their jobs due to the merger?? I haven't seen that in any of the press that I have read. In fact looking at what I have read in the press I would expect them to hire more folks to provide tech support for the enlarged community of users....look at what is going on in the open systems world...how do you think RedHat and all thos other Linux companies are making money - its NOT engineering new pieces to the OS - its via support for the Linux OS. All this speculation and hand-wringing over what is going to happen would be funny if it weren't so sad. Some of you really need to think about what you are saying before you say it...it sounds so stupid when I read it.
