I care about bitcoin so you are wrong.
Why do you read threads about bitcoin and even post into them if you don't care about it?
Personaly i don't care about frequent apple product articles but it doesn't mean i pollute discussions about them with my disaproval.
And how often does that happen? How many people keep their work secret because someone MIGHT copy it? I'd be willing to bet, next to none.
This is actualy quite common. For example here in Czech Republic, copyright holders refuse to release lots of great old "new wave" movies (movies from 60's) becouse they fear piracy. They are waiting for distributors with strong DRM schemes, which would prevent the piracy, They of course never come as DRM is expensive, doesn't work and profit margins on old movies are small. The result is the movies are lost for genral public. There is similar situation with e-books.
Some earlier posters pointed out, that you shouldn't be afraid of your online info if you behave responsibly and don't commit any evil.
I could agree to this but the problem is, that there exists many activities which i consider perfectly fine moraly and ethicaly but which are considered unlawfull by the goverment and juridical system.
The first examples which come to mind of such activities are illegal drug use and distribution (see this Milton Friedman video for reasons why i consider it OK) and illegal use of copyrighted material which can't be obtained from legal sources (Author is lost, distribution has ended or the distibutors won't release it because they fear the losses from piracy would be greater then income from sales and the release won't be worth it).
So yes, i wouldn't mind posting all my activities online but first we must fix our legal system so it don't criminalise perfectly fine behavior.
I don't care if for example my VOIP traffic if prioritizied over my FTP traffic at my ISP's router as long as the total SUM of bandwidth i get is not lower that bandwidth of other customers with the same plan.

but 'Lord of the Flies' ends with the first bomber getting through to Moscow so the president has to order another bomber to nuke New York, right?
Fail Safe from from Sidney Lumet ends this way.
