If your commute is exciting, you are doing it wrong, or you live in an area without major traffic.

"anyone can become President" (especially if they are born very rich indeed, and into the right dynasty).

You do realize that our current sitting president was born in poverty? Yes, Bush, Kennedy, and others were born into rich families, but you can succeed if you actually try. Working for someone else is the surest way to not succeed though. The best way to succeed is to build your own business, and when that fails, get up and try again. Persistence is the thing most people are missing that aren't successful, not being born to the wrong family.

My goal currently is around $2 mil a year, that is doable if you put forth the effort, but I, like many, am too lazy to go out and do it. Maybe one day. I have 4 more years before an empty nest, once I have that, I can start thinking about striking out on my own instead of working for a company.

  8. Interesting, thank you for the correction. I thought that was one of the things brought up in the Martian (I know...science fiction) that it is not usual for a manned craft to be piloted by robot (or remotely in that case) as if you have the pilots there, they can perform the piloting. It never hurts to be corrected when I am wrong though.

  9. Basically, our own criteria for selecting enemy combatants applied against our own domestic government by an armed civilian force engaged in civil war is in fact fair game. Bombing a bus just for the shock value is not.

That is the point I am trying to make. The definition of terrorism doesn't cover what you are speaking of, it is about attacking helpless bystanders. Things like car/backpack bombs, attacking a mall in Africa, those types of things. People advocating for a new government shouldn't be considered terrorists, as they aren't engaged in terror attacks.

The patriots in the American revolution weren't terrorists, the IRA were. The difference is entirely in the methods used to achieve the goals.

It may be a quantity thing, they want to have the ability to have both the Russians and Commercial be able to dock at the same time, rather than waiting for one spaceship to leave before the next can dock. I don't believe though that the Shuttles used the Russian dock, I thought they had their own as well that is going unused currently.

It appears that (at least in 2011) there were 5 docking points on the ISS, one being specifically for the shuttle.
