    That's definitly embarrassing!
I didn't mean to offend anyone! But i haven't seen the actual document before (I'm from germany).

.. we've go an organisation which is supposed to collect the money for the musicians. Every time you buy a record or play a song on radio you pay a fee to the "GEMA" which in turn is supposed to give this money to the musicians. As far as i can tell, since the major record labels are sitting in the board of the GEMA they are "protecting" their rights too.

Since they are not able to produce a secure distibution channel over the internet they are thinking about demanding a fee for every soundcard or other music-related equipment.

Personaly i do like your drug-politics (i suppose youre from holland):-)
But what i tried to point out was, that in my point of view its quiet dangerous to "hate" somebody because of prejudice. I mean our friend tyronefine tries to tell me that he's hating every german (or german-speeking) because of what them fucking nazis did in the 3rd Reich.
At the same time he tries to "helping to found an organization to fight against racism in the high-tech arena". Hello? Have you seen a more perfect example of racism on slashdot in the last days then his post??

    Hello??
First i thought i just read another example of Monthy-Python-like-Humour. Then i read your comment again and thought: what a prick!

I wonder how nice it must be to live in a world where everyone refuses to read/buy products/books which originate from a country which, in some time in their history did something wrong to somebody else.
Like japanese people not buying products from the US because of WW2 or most of europe against the french because of napoleon.
My 2 groschen (german equivalent to cent)

Now go on and flame me for beeing a nazi or something, thank you!

As i said before we view them as a sect. Maybe i have to put it like this:
Suppose im starting a cult or sect or whatever tomorrow and call it "the followers of satan". Since i might not be the only one who likes to - say, rape maidens at full or something like that, i might find some followers. Does this make me the leader of a religion? No. Simply because religions tend to have a history (sometimes of a few thousand years).
Im not denying someones rights to express his own belive in public but Scientology simply is not a religion per definition.
And thats it. In Germany religions have special rights. They get Taxes from their followers and dont have to pay taxes themself. Thats why Scientology is "outlawed" as a sect... Because the typical german John Doe doesn`t want to assist a sect with his tax-money. And they are viewed quiet closely by the german police because the tend to suppress their members. Did you know that the german chapter of S. is terrorising former members (by telefone) after they left?
You have to distinguish between sects (or cults) and religions.

  8. Re:Here we see what it's like w/ no Constitution on UK Passes Surveillance Law For ISPs · · Score: 1

I dont get this. Every time someone writes something about political or religious groups being outlawed they refer to Scientology and Germany. Normally i would think any group which is seen as a danger by most of the population of a country is supposed to be outlawed (like nazis, drug dealers..). In Germany we don`t think of Scientology as a religion. It`s seen more like sect with radical tendencies. And since most of the germans think like this i think its quiet o.k to outlaw them. And please i dontn need no "germans are nazis" reply to this one. In the US. everyone has the right to express his own view, which is fine for me but thats why you have so many extremistic cults/rassists/terrorists and so on.

Well maybe youre suffering from ignorance! Do you think that only because "CTRL-something" is the prefered way to copy'n paste for people who use windows for 8 years like you, it's the only way this functionality should be implemented??
Peoplelike me who use Linux for some year now are quiet comfortable with ALT-C/ALT-V/ALT-X or with selecting the text with the mouse and pasting it by clicking the middle button - thank you
