Has anyone ever heard about 'the Wassenaar arrangement'? It's full name is: The Wassenaar Arrangement on Export Controls for Conventional Arms and Dual-Use Goods and Technologies. It's signed by 35 countries (including the US) and restricts the export of crypto-software and a lot of other things from all these countries. If GPG is made in one of these countries you might get into trouble too.
