MIT Has a HUGE number of redhat machines deployed. There has to be at least a few thousand in the Computer Science lab alone. Not to mention the rest of the departments in the school. Your probobly looking at at least 10k - 15k linux desktops.
#freebsd on efnet is *NOT* a help channel. and asking questions will generally get you banned. why? because there are other channels for this.

BSD users suck? ever been in #linux on efnet?
-snicker-
I've been using slack since 2.x and I must say its always been my favoured choice of a Linux distro. One of the things that sets slackware apart from other distro's is its logical way of doing things. The rc files are well thought out and very easy to manipulate. Unlike -scoff- redhat with its 50+ configuration files and scripts. This hell for a sysadmin trying to do a simple task and not wanting to use Linuxconf. Overall slackware might not be as bleeding edge as most of the distro's out. But its sure has its place as one of the most stable (if not the most stable) distro's here. Good job guys. Keep up the good work.
