In addition, the new products are the first IBM desktop drives to use load/unload technology. This feature parks the recording heads off the disk surface when not in use, dramatically increasing the amount of shock the drive can handle when not in use. This is kind of a minor issue, but on my old 286, there is a command that does the same thing
If slashdot just heard the RedHat dropped the expo, it's likely that other possible sponsors just heard. In a few days we'll probably see a bunch of people competing to sponsor.
