  1. Chaney for president ! on Michael Chaney asks Microsoft to Open Kerberos · · Score: 1

Chaney for president ;-)! Seriously though, Michael's saving of Hotmail hopefully shows the public that it's not just the "rabid Linux zealots" that think that Microsoft's stand on the Kerberos incident is ridiculous.

  2. This makes no sense... on Is HTML Copyrightable? · · Score: 1

My friend bought a computer from Dell about a year ago. Just the other day, I installed a new motherboard, processor, and hard drive for him. So, using this logic if I'd have charged him anything, Dell could sue me because I modified a product they producded that is now owned by another....wtf?

  3. PS2 vs. Dreamcast on Sony Playstation 2 North America Launch · · Score: 3

Although it looks like Sony has the upper hand when it comes to hardware and there are some other powerful systems due out this time next year, I think this round of the console wars might just go to the Dreamcast. Starting on June 4th and ending on August 31st, all Dreamcast purchasers will be eligible for a $50 rebate. This drops the price down to $150. Also, if you sign up for Sega's online gaming service you get a $200 rebate. Sega's basically giving their hardware away to build a strong customer base. Even though it's not quite as powerful as some of the yet unrealesed systems (PS2, X-box, and Dolphin) it's here now, it's cheap, and it has a fairly good software library with more on the way. I'll probably pick up a PS2, but I think when the dust settles this round is going to go to Sega.

  4. Don't Buy Yet on Compaq's PJB-100 MP3 Player Open-Sourced · · Score: 2

If you're considering purchasing the PJB, you may want to wait on Creative's Nomad Jukebox. Not only will it store a more music (6GB), it costs a couple hundred less, has some very interesting add-ons coming out (transmit music to your car's FM radio), and looks a hell of a lot cooler. http://www.nomadworld.com/products/qna.html#jukebo x

  5. Nomad Jukebox on Compaq's PJB-100 MP3 Player Open-Sourced · · Score: 1

Cool - hopefully Creative will do the same with their upcoming Nomad Jukebox (6.5 gigs of mp3's!)
