I've been using b of a for my online bill paying for over a year now without any problems. Of all the bills I pay, only one of them (my rent) doesn't take electronic payment, so I write them a check every month. B of A doesn't do the mail-a-paper-check thing at all. Electronic payments only, and it really hasn't been much of a problem at all. As soon as I get a bill, I go online and set up the payment for just before the bill is due. Then, I toss the bill into the "paid" pile and never think about it again. I don't even think about the cable modem bill since it's paid automatically every month.
Who says they have to get a young teen to play the part? Has anybody here ever seen a version of Romeo and Juliet in which Juliet was actually played by a 12 or 13 year old girl?
And what about Kyle MacLachlan playing in Dune? He was like at least a decade older than the character was supposed to be, yet many people (including here on/.) have praised the movie and his performance in it.
I think most people here are missing the point when they say that the movie won't do the book justice. Of course it won't, but that doesn't preclude it from being a good movie or from becoming a commercial success. I know, commercial success is something of a "bad thing" for some folks here, but that's largely why people make movies, and it's pretty much the only reason that studios finance movies. The movie, if indeed it is ever made, won't be marketed to those of us who have read the book, as we are after all a very small market. It'll be marketed to all the same kind of people who went and made the Matrix such a huge success. Personally, I hope that happens as I'd like to see what kind of film realization could be made of that story.... (This is, by the way, my first post to/.)
