Overall this was a good article but it appears that the tester wasn't aware of the ability to adjust both the speaker and the headset volumes during his tests. The version that I tested for a major wireless provider had the ability to adjust the sensitivity on the microphone and the output volume on the headphones.
As for the interference, that would and does affect all bluetooth devices. The usable distance for devices for the Bluetooth Headset standard (I believe that was the name) is 30ft.
Additionally, one can take the FCC ID that is listed on each device and check for EM test results on their SAR testing results site.
Disclaimer: I didn't check the rest of the device reviews to see if the interference and distances. Some of the distances may be better/worse for other devices.
They're no longer obliged to make the contents of a deleted account available to its owner. (There was previously a "reasonable effort" clause to that effect.)
Does this give sourceforge "ownershp" of all information? Does it preclude legal remedies to get the data back?
All other items I'm OK with but this one can have far reaching effects.
I was a NetFlix user about 1.5 years ago for about 4 months. It was OK but there are a few fundamental issues with the service.
One being that you have to constantly have the max DVD's out and watch them immediately to get your money's worth. That was the biggest issue that I had ( and it's one that can't be solved ).
Secondly, the availavility of titles is becoming more and more of a problem. As noted on DVD forums, people are finding an increase in the number of DVDs on their list that are either out of stock or no longer available. It seems that NetFlix is having supply issues which would only get bigger as they add subscribers.
Lastly, the whole shipping and return process leaves much to be desired. DVDs have be in "Shipping" state for days. I believe that this could be a tactic for NetFlix to slow down the viewing process to, thus, go further with what they have. It isn't bad in and of itself but it should be stated in the TOC somewhere that DVD's could remain in this state for a while. Many DVD's have been lost in the return process. My belief is that they are received but never checked back in ( most likely this is accidental ).
Of course, things may have changed in NetFlix but I don't think that they would be able to fix the supply issue. The third is fixable but the first is a fundamental issue with any company of this nature.
I've had a chance to see Google's secondary facility from the other side of the fence. It's an amazing setup. Rack after Rack of 1 RU units with some 2 RU's thrown in.
In the vast majority of Microsoft bashing about market share and them using their shear size to dominate every market they're in, little is remember about their defeats and cancelled products/services (besides the above two, we've got Bob as a perfect example). They've made a large number of good choices but also a number of bad choices/mistakes.
Yes, they do have a number of problems ( security being perhaps the biggest ) but they need to be treated like any other company. ( will people start hating Red Hat when AOL buys them?)...
Has anyone heard of plans to replace the HD with a CD-R or CD-RW or other removable device for extending the space ( ie, if I want to save mucho things)?

mypoints....
It may delete the account so that it can't be used but does it delete it from the system and all previous backups of the database?
My guess is that it does not. For example, I just got email from a company where I deleted the account over a year ago.

I think that this could be a *little* off topic.
just tried with lynx and never accepting cookies from Amazon and got the highest price
hum...was an attempt made to sell the domain for 350k? ( even if in jest, would that give Mattel ammo to prove cyber-squatting?
