The engineering and test sectors have already had similar "languages" for a while now. LabVIEW is a graphical "language" that was designed for data collection and analisys systems and control systems. It operates using widgets that represent transfer functions or devices or whatever to create block diagrams of the system. Data flow is the central concept instead of control flow. Engineers are able to quickly design test systems to collect data and process it. It is quite robust to write even nontest oriented "code" and integrates very nicely with C when more power is needed. Not to make this a sales pitch for one product, HP has something like it to work their test equipment, and Matlab has a similar package to work with it. Any way you look at, very low learning curve, not much syntax to get in the way, very quick turn around from concept to product.

Lars had a very good point. Napster is a corportation. They provide a service. It IS their responsibilty to try to protect the IP rights of other entities, to the extent they are able. It is like if any employees started using pirated software (IP is only public domain if specifically released as so) on company computers. Who is ultimatly responsible? The COMPANY. (IANAL) I'm not saying I like how Lars and the gang have chosen to protect their property, but it is their right. And Napster does have the responsibility to respect their rights. As for RIAA, they are greedy money grubbers trying to squeeze the public for all it can. The sooner Metallica and other bands cut them out of the money chain, the better for everyone else. My opinions are entirely my own, not yours, nor anyone elses, and you can't have them! Feel free to quote me mock me or whatever me. Frankly, in the end I DON'T CARE! OUT
