Parenting (2) - parents don't know how to say no. If my kids aren't at the dinner table on time, I knock the playstation off the wi-fi. I don't bloody care if you're in the middle of a ranked match, we're having dinner. By the way - Unifi SDN is bloody brilliant for being able to control devices. The eldest got round my WiFi blocking by using an RJ45 connection - not knowing that I could block switch ports as well...
Next step is him using his phone as an access point, looking forward to your suggestion how to counter that.
Respect is earned. Not beaten into one. You can get fear out of people that way, and it worked great for my dad with me, but respect is something he never got from me. All he got was me to get really good at not getting caught and me not trusting him in any way.
I can tell you what it accomplished with me: That I got better at not getting caught and that my father is the LAST person on earth I'd go to with a problem.
You might want to ponder this: Your kid has WAY more spare time at his hands than you do. And our legal system protects him from being killed by you, but the reverse is far less perfect.
That would be way more information than anyone could possibly want from an article like that. We want the ads and the fluff you create around it, certainly not the information which apps to avoid.
How does it compare to the competition? It's not like there's been too much of a stellar privacy and security conscious record in the whole industry...
Any "free trials" that want your payment details in advance are not free trials, they're a subscription waiting to bite you in the ass. And since Apple pretty much has your payment details already as soon as you are one of their victims, there is no such thing as a free trial from Apple, period.
Business class of 2020: Lie, lie, lie, don't worry about getting caught, we've noticed it has no impact on sales. Apparently people expect to be lied to by everyone anyway, so they don't care if you do it.
I'm fairly sure you can tell all of us how to fix the power steering in your car and what you have to pay attention to when welding a leak in your gas line, right? You would never use something you can't keep in good repair yourself, after all.
What OS doesn't allow me to run software that goes "uh-oh, the sky is falling, you better cough up really mucho dineros to my maker to make it stay afloat!"?
Considering that all music kinda sounds the same by now anyway, why not let mainstream music be created by algorithm and let musicians concentrate on making music?
How to unplug the TV when the detective says "and the murderer is.."? ;)
That's what I learned, at least.
Don't worry. The real offenders got punished.
School shootings are not some kind of killing spree.
They are an act of revenge.

Probably the one with the lowest value car...
So with Fortnite you can save a lot on computer games, what a great game!
Buy all the skins so you can't afford food anymore!

If that's your goal, carry on.
What would it accomplish?

And what does he do when he doesn't play computer games?
I'm asking 'cause my parents quickly learned that me playing games in 100% of my spare time is the lesser problem...
What should whooping a kid's ass accomplish?
It is, for arguments presented without evidence can be dismissed without as well.

So ... just the usual internet kindergarden bickering. Gotcha.
Anyone able to translate for people who're not interested enough to understand jargon nor follow the life of some game creator?
Want to bet that to be eligible you have to jump through all sorts of hoops just to make sure that claiming the money costs more than you'll get?
I'm sorry if I come across jaded, but it's been far too many times already.

That's like saying the dump I took today is better than the one I took yesterday.

How much of that money goes to the people who have been conned to recover their losses?
Well?
How much?
Oh, right, they're not corporations...

And still can't make music.
