  1. Time Now on North Korea Says It Has Conducted Nuclear Test · · Score: 0

Chuck Norris is enroute to handle the situation.

  2. I have used Open Source within DoD on DoD Wary of That "Open" Word · · Score: 1, Informative

I have used RedHat Linux and OpenOffice in the Army. They are there and implemented in combat. The soldier isn't aware of this because they work behind the scenes, but open source is being used in several applications.

  3. why? on John Gilmore's Search for the Mandatory ID Law · · Score: -1

Why ask why for the sake of asking? He knows very well why they ask to see IDs. This sounds like a question a junior high student would ask. If he thinks this is a valid, intrinsic form of protest, then I guess we should allow him to waste his time with it.

  4. Actually on Military on Alert for Killer Coke Cans · · Score: 0

When I was in Baghdad there were rumors going around about explosives in soda cans targeted at Americans.
Joe will believe anything when he is deployed. Like that time they told us we were going home... We did, 11 months later.

  5. Re:How Are These Anime-Based? on US Army to Try Out New, Anime-based Uniforms · · Score: 0, Flamebait

Thats because us Joe's have learned to not kill ourselves, but rather to kill all of those critical, asshole people who comment on everything in the world but don't actually do anything about it.

    Airborne Infantryman, kiss my ass.

  6. Re:Camp CAEN on Computer Camps For The Summer · · Score: 1

    I second Camp CAEN.
I attended one of the '97 sessions.
Bring a comp if you do because the real cool stuff happens at about 3 a.m in the dorms.
When I was there, there was a contest to hack the bell tower on North Campus. I guess its midi seq. was on the net. No one did while I was there. (Would have been great to have been out playing beach volleyball and had some "hockey game music" playing.

  7. Re:Antitrust on 'Thirteen Days' · · Score: 1

I noticed the same findings in my theatre.

  8. Re:Ahem.... on MUDs And The People Who Love Them · · Score: 1

You don't believe them when they said the re-wrote the code after (not sure which version, so insert version here)?

  9. Ahem.... on MUDs And The People Who Love Them · · Score: 1

    Long live Medievia.
    Thank you.
