wrt X-style copy and paste, I am constantly annoyed when I want to try to copy a url to the location toolbar in netscape. How can you do this without a clipboard? I highlight my url, then I realize that I need to erase the current url in the toolbar, so I select that one and hit the delete key, but now I've erased the clipboard, so I re-select the url, then I can middle-click it into the location field.
yah yah I could use netscape's copy and paste functionality, but that's skipping my argument that the x-style copy and paste is lame.
I think 'pasting some text into a (non-empty) text-edit field' should be an easy-to-complete atomic action for any copy-paste scheme... don't you????
