you know, i've got to agree with you. what's the harm in freeing up music? so music stars won't be megamillionaires, coke up, trash a ferrari, and cry about their five year bender on VH1 behind the music. what is being protected by the "coyrights" on music? it's not a matter of artistic integrity, it's a matter of compensation: keeping sony, geffen, virgin, et al in business making $1 per song at 1 million songs a day. napster, gnutella, they don't infringe on the artistic copyrights, just the compensation rights of some wig. makes me friggin mad.
