Before the printing press was invented, when only governments, the wealthy, and organized religions owned and copied written works by hand, and were able to read them, "media" was tightly controlled and still the People rebelled against injustice in song and story and more rarely in writing (who could read!) as well as battle. Now that The People live in some form, however globally distant from one another, of the United Corporate Statz of Gates it behooves you fortunate rebels to continue to hold educating the rest of us, not versed in open source code, as key to all of us surviving in a better world. The name of the game is "public domain." When artists and scientists begin to offer free access to music, film, books, patents, etc (knowledge) with the same spirit that drives the contributors of Slashdot.org, etc. you can die knowing it was worthwhile. Please don't despair, even us newbies who only just discovered what OS stands for (!!!) know this is the greatest "voice" of the People ever to sound in history. Love, nun51
