The States have some great health care as long as you make enough and do not get sick enough to question it. All Hail Faux News! Every single person who votes should disclose how much of their money comes from health insurance companies. That is directly and indirectly.

Ohhh...all I had to do was run the 'thunderbird' icon in terminal...for it to open.. Trying to run it from within Gnome results in it simply staring at me without doing anything. Honestly...how hard would it have been to put a 'need help installing' link RIGHT ON THE 'getthunderbird' website. Instead I have locate the small support link ... bla bla bla.. it's just an example of what I find all the time. Oh look, I gave an example, but all you really needed was the syntax and a list of all the options there could be, define each option... but the example is unimportant because there is no way it could shine additional light to show the meaning. My apologies. I get frustrated when I'm not getting what's being said in a man page and I have to google for examples to understand the terminology when it could have been right there.

Natuarlly nobody is reading these comments any more.. but for the hell of it. Doc's Suck. Man pages are the worst. Would it kill you to put a simple example in there? I know it makes you look like your an idiot for having people use your code who are not bright (because I must be an idiot for not figuring out WTF your syntax with all options possible could be!). Right now I try to install Thunderbird 3. Downloaded from the 'getthunderbird' site. Uncompressed the folder. Now what? There's a readme file that says if I need help to see the 'getthunderbird' page. Good, this makes sense. I'm on the page - where is the motherf@@king help? Walkthrought? It's not there. I tried running what look like the files that should go...but NOTHING happens when I try any of them. Double click this file...wait...wait..wait... nothing. Now I feel like an idiot because someone else was lazy, short sighted, not that interested in a successful product. Why bother, soon you'll be able to apt-get or yum it so why should you bother. FAIL. So what should I do. I guess I'm just not smart enough for this crap. Noooles - A+, Network+, MCP & Stupid noob who deserves to be a microsurf...I guess.

Yes - I've had this happen to me. Started with redhat 9 and could not get online. Solution was 3 days in the works (thankfully I had 2 computers, win2k & that box) I needed to type 'ifup eth0'. Note - I made this account just to respond to this thread and I dam well believe the doc's are Bug #1
