In my software engineering course, back in the grad school, the SABRE airline reservation system was a case study. Supposed to be a text book example of how to implement and mange the life cycle of complex software systems. I still have the book Software Engineering by Shooman.

That would have been 17 Moore's Law generations ago! In human terms, it like looking at the farming methods or weaving techniques or marine navigation procedures or military maneuvers of 1592!

Back in the day I've dealt with AMADEUS, SABRE and GALILEO. This news sure brings back memories!

Dear Hollywood, stop being about the money and focus on being about the art. Trying to milk more money by making reboots/prequels and sequels to old classics of passed golden days is disrespecting the people involved in the original films. No need to reboot or prequel Blade Runner/Alien/The Thing. They were perfect for their time and still carry their weight today. If you want to make a quick buck on cheesy popcorn movies throw a bone to The Wachowskis or Michael bay but leave the classics alone.

Or Ad Astra Per Aspera which ever way you prefer. I will miss Vangelis music in th eshow but Alan Silvestri has done really good things in the past. This should have come from PBS but at least Seth McFarlane got Fox to fork over the cash to fund the show. Maybe Fox talking heads will get their IQ increased by a few points?

On magnetic storage I can change controller boards, even swap out the platters in a clean environment into another drive with working heads. For a few hundred to some thousands, your poor choice of having no backup media can be resolved. On SSD I can desolder the chips, dump them and then tell you there's nothing recoverable. For a few hundred to some thousands, your poor choice of having no backup media can be resolved.

As long as they are TSOP and not BGA maybe so. If they are put in the correct order.

Apenas vi el precio me dije estos estan robando a lo loco que hdp. Buen ejemplo chabon. When I checked online I could not belive the over rated price these people are selling the computer for. As the friend from Argentina pointed out, in his review, prices for electronics in that country are high and inflated.
