2 We have the largest free-standing militia in the world, this is an added defense against our own government, and the Constitution gave us the right to bear arms so we could defend ourselves against the government, if say it decided that all people with green eyes should be executed without question.

The real issue is that in today's society, life is not really all that important. We wipe out pre-borns that are inconvenient, we kill the old that are inconveniant, and now we just kill people that are annoying.

Guns are just another piece of equipment which can be missused. I could also take a truck through a crowded shopping mall and kill even more people than I can with a sub-machinegun.

BTW, every gun they had was illegal .

These people just don't understand how important, and precious life is.

I assume you are new to RedHat. As per the FSSTND, they had the /var/adm compatibility link for a couple of releases, and then removed it. The Linux standard is /var/log. If you are used to /usr/adm, You have some REAL problems. (/usr became "read-onlyable" a long time ago)

Goddamned runlevels. /etc/rc.d is WAY too complicated for any purpose I can realistically see people desiring ... and it is nontrivial for administrators to jump between distributions on different machines. The Slakware scheme was more than sufficient. Thankfully, VAResearch includes a cheat-sheet with all of their servers, making the transition easier if you have the means

Sorry, after many years of almost every type of UNIX, I immediatly found the RedHat layout to be the best ever, and hope everyone switches to it. (Hard links suck, BSD is un-maintainable).

The Arch-PAB! The RPM for a later version of afterstep (no wm flames please) that I got FROM THE REDHAT WEB SITE placed the 'afterstep' executable in a different place from RedHat 5.2! Major annoyance to find this, and I suspect there are plenty of other RPMs out there doing similarly nasty (and transparent!) things.

And the nice thing about the mouse is that it's radio based, and the base doesn't have to be too near the mouse, and can be at a different level (mine sits on a shelf to the side and down).

Personally, I've never minded cleaning my mouse about once a year, and I use an ergonomic mouse-pad which I found to have the perfect surface for ball mice.

I will concede, I use a MS Sidewinder pro, best joystick I have ever had, and I have a shelf full of joysticks I've tried (If it wasn't so expensive, I'd swap it with a force-feedback version).

There are approx the same # of NT servers, and there are 6 Admins, (All MSCEs), and they have trouble keeping the boxes running and get support from our group AND Network services to maintain the boxes.

While the UNIX Admins cost a little more than the NT Admins (not much anymore, NT guys get extra $$ becuase their OS's owner has his face on TIME more often, which is more important to PHB's), we don't need nearly as many of them.
