  1. I have been using Incognito mode for quite many years mostly because of having to log in to more than one gmail accounts simultaneously. The only thing that I miss is the ability to have them all in one window in different tabs. But on the other hand having different accounts in different windows can be also considered as a feature, as it greatly helps in separating tabs showing data from the same account. It also enables me not have to push that annoying sign in with a different account link, because it always loads a fresh login page as if I have never been to gmail.com before.

I would like a native port of Gitextensions for Linux. It is currently a pile of crap on Linux with Mono, but a pretty good software on Windows.

Exactly. A friend of mine already had this in 2006, I am pretty sure. It measured the actual blood sugar level and adjusted the amount of injected insulin accordingly. I wonder how this appeared on Slashdot in 2013.

  4. Way too expensive on Verizon Wireless Goes Ahead With 'Bucket' Data Plans · · Score: 1

That is gross! In Hungary I pay $10/month for unlimited data plan. Well, it is an enterprise price plan, but still. After 2 GB mobile operator may limit bandwidth to around 1 Mbit/sec. However a friend of mine once had an insane amount of 200 Gb traffic in a month and he did not notice any degradation in speed, it was always well above 2 Mbit, sometimes reaching 5 Mbit/s. Verizon has clearly gone out of its mind.

Death spiral: exactly what I was thinking when I have read the title of this post. Coincidentally 'halal' means 'death' in Hungarian, so accidentally I read 'Iran developing death domestic intranet' :)

Brilliant! Now the person, who breaks into my apartment and steals my Macbook, no longer has to guess my password. He just takes the charger, and thus all my personal data with himself. What a shitty idea from Apple!

Sorry, I got the point. html5 video players use h.264 decoders that are most probably written in assembly or C, whilst this is a pure javascript based mp3 decoder.

We have already have html5 h.264 video players for more than a year. Why is it news that from now on we can not only play videos (with sound, probably in mp3 format), but even sound without video?
